| Born in Ocheyedan, IA on Aug. 10, 1898. Prescott studied at the ASL in NYC, Otis Art Institute, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and with Gutzon Borglum, David Edstrom, Robert Aitken, and Julia Wendt. He moved to Los Angeles in 1919 and was active there until 1943 when he settled in Santa Cruz, CA. He taught sculpture at San Jose High School in the 1950s and privately in his studio. He was active as an artist until 1976 and a resident of Santa Cruz until his demise on Jan. 2, 1988. Exh: LA Cha (showing 500 of 887 characters). |
