Richard Gordon Packer (1916-1998) was from Lynn, Massachusetts. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1934 and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1938. The teaching staff at that time included the noted sculptor Cyrus Edward Dallin, N.A. (1861-1944) and painter Ernest Lee Major (1864-1951).
For a period of time after graduation, Packer worked in the family laundry business and in his 30s began his career as a full time artist and art teacher. He opened his first (showing 500 of 1409 characters). |
