Ruth Esther Penington (1905-1998)
Painter, printmaker, metalsmith, craftsperson, teacher.
Born in Colorado Springs, CO., moved to Seattle in 1907. B.F.A, M.F.A., University of Washington. Studied: Columbia University, 1929. And with V. Vytlacil, E. Steinhof, A. Ozenfant. 1929 - 1969: Instructor, (Full Professor from 1951) University of Washington 1945-47: Instructor, University of California, Berkeley.
