Primarily an educator in the Paterson, New Jersey school system, Sidney Probert spent much of his free time traveling and painting in an impressionist style.
Born on February 11, 1865 in Paterson, he received his education in the public schools of his hometown, then enrolling at New York University, graduating in 1888. After taking a post-graduate course at Columbia University, he was hired as a teacher by the Paterson school district, eventually becoming a principal. < (showing 500 of 1199 characters). |
