| Ted Potter was born December 6, 1933 in Springhill, Kansas. Potter, the son of a Methodist minister, grew up in Chicago. At Baker Univ., he majored in art earning a BFA in 1956. Studied at the Univ. of Kansas, the Univ. of California at Berkeley, and earned a MFA in 1961 from the California College of Arts & Crafts. Director of the Glide Foundation in San Francisco, 1965-67 and director of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art from 1967-91. After leaving SECCA (showing 500 of 1621 characters). |
