Growing up in San Francisco, she was an urgent-care physician for two decades before becoming, at age thirty eight, a fine artist of richly colored landscapes and still lifes.
Her paintings are done with the goal of achieving serenity or healing and result from her awareness of the intense need for that in people. She lives near the River Parkway in Sacramento, and uses scenes in that vicinity in many of her works.
She works from photographs and in her studio creates the pain (showing 500 of 3819 characters). |
