Verna Johnston Peck (Mrs. W. C. Peck) was born February 23, 1889 in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She studied at Southwestern College and the Univ. of Wichita.  Earned a BFA at the Kansas City Art Institute.  Was a pupil of Grace Raymond, Clayton Henri Staples, and Thomas Hart Benton.  Lived in Kansas City in 1953.

Member: Mid-American Artists; Greater Kansas City Art Assoc.

Awards: Kansas State Fair, 1940, 1942; Missouri State Fair, 1955, 1960, 1961; Plaza Art Fair, 1960.

Collections: Mid-America Art Gallery.
