Walter Pendleton (1866-1942) was born in Glenbrook, Connecticut in 1866. He was known to have worked and lived in New York City for most of his adult life. He had a summer home in Islip, New York. A gifted artist, it is believed that Pendleton studied art in New York City. He exhibited at the Society of Independent Artists in New York City in 1934.
