Of Note: Willia Baze sponsored the work of Carl Sweezy, Arapaho artist, who studied with her. Oklahoma Artist Leonard Good was introduced to art at an early age, by his cousin, Willie Baze Hehn Lane, a professional artist from the eastern United States, who had moved to Oklahoma when her father, a doctor, decided to open a hospital in Chickasha. When Mrs. Lane’s other students weren’t scheduled for art class, she allowed Good to experiment with the paints.
