William H. Partridge was a born in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1858. He is known to have lived in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He studied art at the Massachusetts School of Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School. He was a member of the Boston Art Club, the Springfield Art Institute, the Gloucester Society of Artists, and the Business Men's Art Club of Boston. He exhibited at the Boston Art Club in 1874.
