Johan Waldemar de Rehling Quistgaard was born in Orsholtgaard, Denmark, on February 9, 1877. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Agriculture in Copenhagen in 1899, he began painting. According to a letter from Mr. Quistgaard to Smithsonian Institute Secretary Alexander Wetmore (Secretary from 1944-1952), Quistgaard emigrat (showing 500 of 2977 characters). |
