| | Born in New York in 1847. Adelaide was the daughter of Judge Rising of Reno, NV. She appears to have moved to San Francisco in the 1870s. After her marriage to painter Wm Hahn in nearby Piedmont in 1882, the couple traveled to Europe. The Hahns lived for three years in London, and in 1885 went to Dresden where he died two years later.
