This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Albert Rosser was born in Orlando in 1915 and died in Miami in 1969. He studied with Alfred C. Tabelly and Richard W. Bansan at the Artists School in Orlando (1931-1935) and soon he became one of the most admired emerging painters from the Miami area. Typically painting realistic portraits, nudes and still life genres with skill, his brush-work was refined and elegant with softened edges and a true sense of color harmonies as they relate to nature.
R. Rosser was given one-man shows at the Guild of Miami Artists in 1939 and 1941. He maintained studios in Orlando and Miami and began to paint watercolor in the middle of the 50's. He signed all his artworks with the letter "R."
