This biography from the Archives of AskART:
"Few men are possessed of more natural ability in art than Albert Rothery, 618 Paxton Block.  For years he followed his profession as an artist in New York, Boston and Chicago, and for the past six years in Omaha.  Mr. Rothery, with the aid of an able assistant, is prepared to give the most satisfactory and conscientious attention to portrait painting; also landscapes, views, etc., of the highest character, whether in crayon, pastel, water-color or oil, making a specialty of portraits.

His studio is hung with some charming specimens of his work, and he possesses that happy facility of infusing life into his canvas, and when we take into consideration the high degree of excellence of his productions, his prices are very moderate.

Mr. Rothery was born in the East, and there are few, if any, artists in Omaha today whose services are in greater demand.  In the year 1890 he was awarded the gold medal for the best oil painting at the Western Art Association exhibition."
