Alice Blair Ring was born in Knightville MA on May 4, 1869 and died in Pomona, CA on March 17, 1947. She graduated from Oberlin College in 1890 and soon afterward went to Europe to study art and to paint. She studied under several well known artists such as G. Melchers, G. Hitchcock, B. Constant, J. P. Laurens, and with J. Twachtman at the Art Students League in NYC. She also studied miniature painting under Madame La (showing 500 of 3580 characters). |
