Andreas Roth (1871-1949) was born in Kleinochsenfurt, Bavaria in 1871. Roth studied painting at the University of Munich.
He left his native land about 1931 and immigrated to Los Angeles and established a studio-home at 224 South Olivera Street. He was active there as an artist until his demise on December 5, 1949.
A prolific landscape painter, many of his works are of the California coast.
