| Painter. Born in Dravosburgh, PA on Nov. 2, 1875. Risher was educated at the Pennsylvania College for Women and New England Conservatory of Music. By the early 1930s she had moved to southern California. She was a resident of Laguna Beach (1933), Hollywood (1936), and La Crescenta (1940). She died in Los Angeles County on Aug. 29, 1946. A pupil of Anna Hills and Donna Schuster, their influence is seen in her landscapes and coastals. As well as a fine painter, Risher was a music composer of 350 published works.
