This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A painter, Annette Riddell was born in Oswego NY. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with John Vanderpoel and the Academie Julian in Paris with Jean Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant. She worked in Chicago prior to moving to Laguna Beach with her husband, Wm. W. Riddell in the mid-1920's. A member of the Laguna Beach Art Association, she was active there until 1933 or longer.
(Note: Wm. RIDDELL's wife's initials were J C when he died in 1948 so Annette must have divorced him or died between 1933 and 1948.)
