Bernie Hayes Robynson, dean of Black graphic artists, was born in Paris, Kentucky in 1990. His parents were teachers and their travels took Bernie to many picturesque sections of the Blue Grass state. He studied at Knoxville College, The National Academy of Art, Art Students League and Agusta Savage's Art Workshop.
Bernie was a pioneer serigraphic printmaking. Of his series, A Human Melody, Bernie was quoted as saying he endeavored to preserve some of the quai (showing 500 of 812 characters). |
