| | Born in San Francisco, CA on April 11, 1872. Rockwitz was a lifelong resident of San Francisco. He studied there for five years at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. A veteran of the Spanish-American War, he then worked for 55 years for Strecher-Traung Lithographers.
