C. J. Bulliet, art critic of the Chicago Daily News said of her:
She was one of the most talented young Chicago painters. Born and brought up in the Hull House district, she got her early art training there at Hull House (now University of Illinois - Chicago), and continued in the studios of Todros Geller and Raymond Katz and later at the Art Institute of Chicago. She was one of the youngest artists invited to participate in the Art Institute Century of Progress show. She was a member of the Artists Union and the American Artists Congress and was a moving spirit within the Chicago Jewish art community.
