Charles Gaylor Rouse was born in New York on May 24, 1875. Known as a craftsman and painter, Rouse eventually settled in Riverside, California at the turn of the 20th Century.
Rouse exhibited his works at the Riverside Art Association, the Los Angeles City Hall, and at other venues in Southern California. He died in Huntington Beach, California on December 12, 1955.
