This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A Chicago modernist painter, Charlotte Rothstein studied with Todros Geller and Rudolph Weisenborn and was a member of the Chicago Society of Artists. She exhibited at the World's Fair in New York in 1939 and the Golden Gate Expo, also 1939.
Source: Peter Falk, "Who Was Who in American Art". The Falk book lists the artist as born in Chicago. However, the following note is from Anthony R. White:
A correction to the biography of Charlotte Rothstein: Examination of her entry in the 1930 CENSUS reveals that she was actually born in Poland and immigrated with her family to the USA in 1923.
