| | Born in Lahti, Finland on Jan. 15, 1913. Rinne settled in Berkeley in 1922. After graduating from UC, she studied art in Germany, France and Italy. She had a studio in Berkeley for a few years and then taught at Dominican College in San Rafael and at the College of Holy Names in Oakland. In 1935 she married Frank Allen and was living in Berkeley as of 1995.
