Information from: Colorado Springs, (CO) "Gazette Telegraph Newspaper" 3/21/70. Native of Latvia, Miss Ruhtenberg studied in Berlin before coming to the United States in 1948. She is represented in public collections of the Everhart Museum, Denver Art Museum, Easthampton Guild Hall's Museum section, Colordo Springs Fine Arts Center (CO) Des Moines Art Center. She is the daughter of former Colorado Springs architect Jan Ruhtenberg. At one time she taught at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. One-man exhibitions at the Fine Arts Center as well as the Denver art Museum, Fort Worth Art Center and Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA. Her work has been included in shows at the Metropolitan Museum of art; Museum of Modern Art; National Academy of Design; Gallery; Chicago Art Institute and Pennsylvania Academy, among others.
