| From New Jersey, Cynthia Lord-Ruddy depicts animals, human figures and portraits, religious, western and frontier subjects in sculpture, painting, pastel and charcoal drawing. A specialty is dog portraits, and she has completed illustration commissions for domestic dog-fancier books including "The New illustrated Bull Terrier Standard", which is a publication for training judges in AKC Standard shows, and for quarterly magazines of the Bull Terrier Club of America and for The English Bull Terrier Club. She has also created advertising logos, done illustrations for the New Jersey Licensed Beverage Association, and has artwork for churches.
Ruddy is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate with honors from Monmouth College, West Long Branch, New Jersey. She lives on a small farm with her husband near Freehold, New Jersey.
