| Dario Rappaport was born in Austria on March 24, 1896. Rappaport studied at the Art Academy in Vienna before beginning a world tour. He was in Rome, Chile, and New York City before arriving in Hollywood in 1931 where he painted portraits of movie stars and other notables. After becoming a U.S. citizen, he changed his name to Dario R. D’Oporto. He died there on March 21, 1964.
