David Richards 1851 - 1920,
A Scenic Artist in Boston, he was the younger brother of Orren C. Richards. He painted still life and scenes in the style of the Hudson River painters. He painted stage curtains and scenery for early Boston theaters.
He worked for O.L. Story Company, Somerville, Mass. as a scene painter and in the 1890's had a studio, Couch & Richards Scenic Studio at West 1st Street, Boston. He worked for and painted scenery for stag (showing 500 of 770 characters). |
