This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A conceptual artist and writer, David Robbins once worked in New York in Andy Warhol's Factory, but moved to Milwaukee where he is attracted to the creative energy of the art community.
In the 1980s, he did "Talents," a series of black and white publicity stills of art stars of the 80s. In Oak Park Illinois in 2002, he completed an ersatz hunting lodge, which juxtaposes experimental and familiar techniques and objects.
