Helen said that all her sisters had been teachers and that she didn't want to be a teacher. So, she did something different. She was the school superintendents secretary. Helen was the second wife of Edson. He had a daughter from a previous marriage. Helen has lived in the same house since 1928.

Rorabeck family came from Michigan. Edson was an artist by trade.
