Born August 2, 1905, Eleanor Roberts was one of three children, all artistically inclined, in the family of Ernest and Jean (Neville) Roberts of Toledo, Ohio. One brother, Richard, was a musician, while the other brother, Frederick, was an artist who found employment at the studio of Early Schwartzkoph, a noted Toledo artist.
Eleanor's early education is not known, but by 1930 she was listed in the Toledo directory as a music teacher, a career she followed the remainder of her life. She (showing 500 of 1122 characters). |
