| | Born in Colorado on April 22, 1891. Ritter settled in Los Angeles in 1918. One of his large landscapes hung for many years in the Union Pacific Ticket Office in Santa Monica. He died in Los Angeles on May 18, 1949. His rare works include scenes of the High Sierra. | Source:
