|  An art graduate from the University of the Pacific in California, Ethelinda Robbins traveled around the world and then worked as an illustrator in Hawaii and for Women's Wear Daily in New York City.
In 1969, with marriage to Larry Robbins, she gave up illustration and moved to Los Angeles, where she painted scenes from sketches from her earlier travels. In 1987, she moved to Santa Fe.
She has done a number of life-size portraits of Native Americans in ceremonial dress and in 1998 began a series of large vegetable and floral still lifes. She also does horse paintings and French urban genre subjects.
She goes by the professional name of Ethelinda.
