| Born Dodge City, 1888; d. Buffalo, NY, Oct. 31, 1957. Illustrator. Painter, specialized in portraits. Designer. Teacher. Studied at the Students School of Art, Denver, CO, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Buffalo (NY) School of Fine Arts. Pupil of John H. Vanderpoel, Henry Read, and Louis Wilson. She was a costume designer for Buffalo Players, Inc. She was an instructor at the Buffalo School of Fine Arts and at the University of Buffalo in 1921. She illustrated three children’s’ books (showing 500 of 1322 characters). |
