Born January 17, 1890 in Hungary, Frank Reisz studied life drawing classes at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, taught by Frank Duveneck, Lewis Meakin and Herman Wessel, for the years 1909 through 1916.  He also studied Costumed Figures with Meakin during that time.  In the year 1914 he began teach Preparatory drawing while still taking classes as a student.  The Preparatory class is described as drawing and painting in oil and watercolor for students with no prior training.  He taught this class through 1917.
He exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum in 1916 and 1918.  He is noted as enlisting in the Army in December, 1917, but by July of 1918 was referenced in the Cincinnati newspaper as painting a frieze in the local YMCA.
According to the Census records for 1920 the artist and his wife Dorothy were living in the Chicago area; yet by 1923 they were in Los Angeles.  Frank Reisz died in Brooklyn in January of 1967.
