Franklin Rosemont was born on October 2, 1943.
In 1965, Franklin Rosemont and his wife Penelope Rosemont, having travelled to Paris, attended meetings of the original Paris Surrealist Group, one of the founders of which (and author of the Manifestoes of Surrealism was André Breton, who welcomed them into international surrealism.
