| Frederick Holberg Reimers, (1889-1961). Pastelist. Born in Oakland, California on June 1, 1899, he was the son of artists Johannes and Marie Reimers. Reimers worked as an architect in the San Francisco Bay area for 50 years and built many of the picturesque homes in the Berkeley and Piedmont hills. In his leisure he did pastels of the area around his home. He died in his native city on July 11, 1974.
