An Impressionist, his work includes seascapes, coastals, and landscapes of southern California.
Frederick Rickeman was wed to Eva Forneri (born in Minnesota on January 7, 1890 and died in Los Angeles on October 6, 1988) and they had a son David (born in Pennsylvania in 1919).
