Frederick Winthrop Ramsdell (1865 – 1915) Frederick Winthrop Ramsdell was born in Manistee, Michigan, on December 9, 1865, the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jefferson Ramsdell. He was educated in the public schools of that city, graduating from Manistee High School, which he followed up with a course at the University of Michigan. He then began his artistic education at The Art Students League* in New York under James Carroll Beckwith and later in Paris un (showing 500 of 2848 characters). |
