A resident of Los Angeles, California, Gerald Rahm is a pastel artist who focuses on city subjects--buildings, people, and vegetation. He is a member of the California Art Club and is inspired by Emil Kosa, Jr., scene painter.
He attributes influences on his work to the painting of John Singer Sargent and William Merritt Chase; his favorite medium is pastel. He works with the palm of his hand and fingers, as though they were brushes.
