| Daughter of artist Abbott Thayer and his first wife Kate Bloede, Gladys Reasoner was born on July 17, 1886 in Woodstock, Connecticut, and exhibited in New York and Boston including the Knoedler Galleries, Grand Central Gallery, and Vose Gallery. She studied with her father and continued to live in Woodstock.
After she married David Reasoner, she had a child named Jean (Reasoner) Plunket.
Note from Scott Chalifaux: Gladys was Abbott Thayer's daughter. She modeled for many of her fathers paintings. She married David Reasoner who was a student of Abbott Thayer and a very good artist in his own right. Jean is David and Gladys Reasoners daughter and a portrait artist.
