| Born in Independence, TX on Oct. 25, 1866. After graduating from Baylor University, Hallie Crane married John Rippeteau and settled in Dallas, TX about 1891. There she studied art with Eva Fowler and Onderdonk. After the death of her husband in 1938, she spent her last years in Los Angeles. Mrs. Rippeteau died there on June 27, 1951.
