| | Born in Missouri on Nov. 7, 1902. Rombotis moved to Los Angeles with her family in 1904. Upon graduation from Otis Art Institute in 1925, she worked as a portraitist and later a designer. After marrying Leland Ralph, her husband was in a near-fatal accident in the 1930s and she abandoned her art career to care for him.
