| | Born in South Shore, SD on May 30, 1910 of Swedish-Danish descent. Hazel Scriver moved to California with her family in 1919 and began painting at an early age. Her only art training was under visiting artist Claude Buck. She was a graduate of San Jose State University and then worked as a nurse at Santa Clara General Hospital. After her marriage she resided in Santa Cruz until her death on July 10, 1973. Member: Santa Cruz Art League.
