| | Born in Kansas City, MO on July 28, 1901. Reid showed artistic talent at an early age and, after completing her primary education in the public schools of Kansas City, moved to Los Angeles where she earned degrees at UCLA and USC. She then taught art in Pasadena city schools for 38 years, retiring in 1963 to become a member of the board of directors of the Laguna Museum of Art. She lived in Laguna Beach until shortly before her death in San Luis Obispo, CA on Dec. 8, 1969. Exh: Newport Harbor High School, 1964; Laguna Beach Art Gallery, 1970 (memorial).
