| Emma Waldvogel was born in Switzerland in 1880. Having studied in Zurich, by 1909 Waldvogel had settled in Los Angeles and was teaching at the Bachelder School of Design. During the 1930s she taught flower arrangement at Chouinard Art Institute, and her work appeared in House Beautiful.. She was active there until the onset of WWII.
