| A painter specially known for portraits and nude figures, Ilona Rado was born in Budapest, Hungary and was active in New York City from 1891 to 1929. She had studied in Paris at the Academie Colarossi and exhibited at the Paris Salons as well as in Budapest and Vienna.
She married Frederick West, an architect.
