Irene C. Robinson was born on August 23, 1942. She grew up on a sprawling 2200 acre cattle ranch in Gilroy, California. She attended the Castilleja School for Girls. In 1962 she moved to the Monterey Peninsula where she attended Monterey Peninsula College. While there she studied under John Cunningham at the Carmel Adult School.
In 1965 she married fellow artist Y. S. Lim. He would become an influence on Robinson's painting career and style. In 1985 she was selected as an Artist Member of (showing 500 of 829 characters). |
