From WHO WAS WHO IN AMERICAN ART by Peter Falk:

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Iver Rose was a painter and lithographer who lived in New York City from 1923 to 1929, Chicago from 1930 to 1955, and Springfield, Massachusetts and Rockport from 1955 to 1972. He studied at Hull House in Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cincinnati Academy.

His career began with commercial art in New York City and in Chicago, he became a fine artist with primary subjects being clowns, children, musicians and old Jewish patriarchs.
