| Known for his plein-air tonalist landscapes, Jeffrey Reed was born in Pennsylvania and spent his childhood along the shores of Chesapeake Bay. He earned a B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute in Baltimore and an M.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a teacher at the Community College of Philadelphia.
